On the occasion of the bachelor degree ceremony held at IMC Krems University, the KANSAI HELIOS sponsorship prize was awarded. Managing Director of KANSAI HELIOS Austria GmbH Prof. Hubert Culik and Head of Institute Prof.(FH) Dr. Uwe Rinner presented the prize to the winner Anna Gruber.

In July 2023, Anna Gruber successfully completed her bachelor degree in “Applied Chemistry” at IMC Krems University of Applied Sciences. She showed exceptional enthusiasm and initiative while writing her bachelor’s thesis and mastered the given tasks excellently. The award recognises the outstanding performance of a particularly committed student.

KANSAI HELIOS Austria has been supporting the degree programme “Applied Chemistry” at IMC Krems University of Applied Sciences for many years.

The long-established Viennese company KANSAI HELIOS Austria GmbH (formerly Rembrandtin Lack GmbH), based in 1210 Vienna, is one of Austria’s biggest industrial coatings producers. Since 2017, the company is part of the global KANSAI PAINT Group and thus among the top 10 coatings producers worldwide. The core competencies include modern corrosion protection systems, innovative industrial coatings for the ACE segment and the railway vehicle industry as well as high-temperature resistant coatings and road marking paints. Currently, KANSAI HELIOS Austria has 190 employees, more than a quarter of which work in Research & Development.

Applied Chemistry at the IMC Krems University of Applied Sciences

Since 2018, the IMC Krems University of Applied Sciences has been offering the English-language bachelor programme “Applied Chemistry” which focuses on a solid and practice-oriented basic training in the field of chemistry. Teachers from the academic sector and the chemicals industry guarantee excellent job opportunities for graduates from this programme.
