Around 35 % of the employees at KANSAI HELIOS Austria work in research and development. Here, with foresight and experience, our team develops the special properties of our coatings that meet the current and future requirements of our customers, partners and the environment.

Environmental compatibility and sustainability have always played a central role at KANSAI HELIOS. We relied on environmentally friendly coating systems with functions. Modern technologies such as high-solids, solvent-free and water-based coatings are used.

In 2012, KANSAI HELIOS Austria (then Rembrandtin) was the first Austrian company to be awarded the European Responsible Care Award “for exceptional performance for the environment, a healthy future, or responsibility towards other people.”

Companies throughout the KANSAI HELIOS Group are committed to acting responsibly for nature and taking climate action throughout the value chain. We are addressing climate change with a business model that reduces our impact on the environment. KANSAI HELIOS strives to improve environmental performance and build a carbon-neutral future. As part of the “WE TURN IT GREEN” initiative, the Group will focus on concrete “green measures” in the areas of products, production, purchasing and stakeholders from 2020.
