For decades, our managing director Hubert Culik has been dedicated not only to our own company but also to the chemical industry as a whole. Through his commitment and extensive expertise, he advocates for innovation as well as education in the branch. On October 10th, 2023, he received a prestigious award for his achievements.

Governor Johanna Mikl-Leitner awarded a Gold Medal of Honor for Service to the State of Lower Austria (“Großes Goldene Ehrenzeichen für Verdienste um das Bundesland Niederösterreich”) to Hubert Culik. This is a recognition of his many years of commitment in the economic and social spheres.

“Hubert Culik is not only an outstanding manager who has led KANSAI HELIOS Austria (former Rembrandtin) to remarkable achievements and successfully contributed to the integration of the company into the globally operating KANSAI HELIOS Group. He has also made significant contributions to the chemical industry as the chairman of the association and the chairman of the professional group for the paint industry, constantly striving for improvements,” reported the Association of the Chemical Industry in Austria (FCIO). Hubert Culik is delighted with the award. The honor he shares with the entire industry:

“I see this badge of honor not only as a recognition of my personal achievements, but also as a special acknowledgment of the entire chemical industry sector. Furthermore, it is a tribute to all our efforts in the field of education and professional development, which is of a great significance to me.”

Hubert Culik believes that educating the next generation of professionals is crucial for the future of the chemical industry in Austria. For instance, he played a pivotal role in the establishment of the Applied Chemistry program at Krems University of Applied Sciences. This program has inspired numerous young people to pursue a career in the chemical industry and seek further education. Hubert Culik is also deeply committed to keeping vocational educational training in the chemical industry up-to-date. He actively advocates for the refinement and adaptation of training programs. Thanks to his initiative, a fully equipped laboratory for apprentices specializing in coating technology was successfully established at the Landesberufsschule St. Pölten (State Vocational School).

We at KANSAI HELIOS take pride in Hubert Culik’s contributions and extend our congratulations to him!
