Cold Plastic Systems

MARKING MATERIALS BASED ON ACRYLIC BINDERS

Cold plastic marking materials are based on acrylic binders and reactive monomers. They are cured (polymerisation/cross-linking) by adding a catalyst. Cold plastics are the most durable of all marking materials. They are solvent-free and therefore among the most environmentally friendly solutions for road markings as life cycle assessments confirm.

Cold Spray Plastic

  • REMO 401 A (export)
    • This cold spray plastic was developed for the 98:2 system with internal mixing. It is particularly suitable for layer thicknesses between 300 μm and 800 μm. REMO 401 is mainly used for first markings or TYPE II markings with excellent night visibility in wet conditions, for markings on motorways or heavy traffic roads.
  • REMO P DUAL
    • Spray plastic for all airless equipment for manual or machine processing. All mixing ratios 98:2 to 1:1 3K (external or internal) are possible. Thanks to the excellent night visibility in the wet conditions, this spray plastic is an all-round material with low consumption.

Cold Plastic

  • REMO 2000
    • Excellent flow properties and extreme durability are the special features of this solvent-free cold plastic with pre-mix beads. Typical applications of REMO 2000 are pedestrian crossings and traffic signs in urban areas applied manually with a spatula. The recommended layer thickness for this material is 2000–3000 μm.
  • REMO 2000 EQ
    • REMO 200EQ was developed specifically for markings on airports and car parks. It ensures excellent hiding power, a high degree of whiteness, and extremely short drying times. To avoid high layer thicknesses due to maintenance work, REMO 2000EQ is applied at a wet film thickness of 200–300 μm.
