Cooperation with vision

KANSAI HELIOS strengthens bridge between science and industry

When industry and science not only work side by side, but together, new opportunities open up and the space for development is paved. The close cooperation between KANSAI HELIOS and IMC Krems – University of Applied Sciences, which has existed since 2018, is based on this principle.

“For me, strengthening research, innovation and science education is inextricably linked to the role of the chemical industry as a solution sector,” emphasizes KANSAI HELIOS Austria Managing Director Hubert Culik, who is considered the initiator of the partnership.

Modern training and further education formats for qualified specialists

The further development of central initiatives in applied chemistry and the sustainable networking of industry and science are two central pillars of the cooperation between IMC Krems and KANSAI HELIOS. An essential part of this is the co-design of modern training and further education formats.

This led to the development of the Surface Technology further education module, which is specifically geared towards the requirements of the chemical industry. Hubert Culik also provided valuable input into the design and development of the Master’s program, making an important contribution to the practical qualification of future specialists. He was awarded the title of “Fellow” for this exceptional commitment.

International perspectives and joint innovation projects

The aim of actively shaping innovation and progress extends beyond national borders. As part of the international Smart Surface Summit conference, IMC Krems was integrated into the organizing team as a strategic partner. KANSAI HELIOS Austria is also involved in research projects, including participation in a planned COIN submission to promote applied research.

Another important milestone in the partnership is the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding, with which both sides will further intensify and expand their cooperation in the long term.
