The new 2K fire-retardant system^HENSOTHERM® 921 KS is a solvent-free fire-retardant coating that combines two key features: a certified service life of at least 50 years in service category Z2 in accordance with EAD 350402-00-1106, and an SVHC-free formulation in accordance with REACH.

This provides planners, building owners, and contractors with a fire protection solution that meets current requirements for material transparency and can help ensure compliance with regulatory requirements throughout a building’s life cycle.

^HENSOTHERM® 921 KS: High-performance steel fire protection up to R120

The intumescent coating is suitable for indoor and outdoor steel components and achieves fire resistance ratings ranging from R30, R60, and R90 to R120. Thanks to the solvent-free two-component system with 100% solids content, the coating is particularly well-suited for application in a factory setting.
