5 months – 5 events all in the name of corrosion protection
At KANSAI HELIOS Austria, the first half of 2025 was all about corrosion protection. High-profile industry events such as the “Stahlbautag” in Graz, which was organized by the Austrian Steel Construction Association, and the Industry Navigator Conference in Dubai enabled us to share our expertise as a system provider in a targeted manner and contribute to the further development of innovative solutions.
IKI-Coating Symposium for Corrosion Protection and Freight Wagons
From May 20 to 22, KANSAI HELIOS Austria hosted the IKI Coating Symposium – our renowned industry platform, which this time addressed the topic of corrosion protection for general industry and the freight car sector. In addition to the latest developments in the coating sector, the international audience gained exciting insights into various specialist areas from speakers from our partner company Rudolf Hensel GmbH, OFI Vienna, TU Vienna, as well as experts from the freight wagon sector from Rail Cargo Group, Tatravagonka, Greenbrier Europe and Rail Flow.
The presentations offered valuable impulses and new perspectives – especially the contribution by Ille C. Gebeshuber, who explained the unexpected connections between coatings and natural structures. Using examples such as cicadas and shrimps, she illustrated scientific principles that can inspire innovative approaches in coating technology. Her explanations encouraged further reflection on the connection between nature and technology.
In addition, our partner companies presented their innovative products in the exhibition area. SERVIND, WAGNER, ELCOMETER and FRITZE LACKE took the opportunity to present their latest developments and provide interested visitors with detailed information about their solutions.

Next Event: “Brandschutz-Fachtagung” in St. Pölten
The next important program point for us is the “Brandschutz-Fachtagung”, which will take place on 27 and 28 August at the University of Applied Sciences in St. Pölten. The event lasts two days and offers a comprehensive program for experts in preventive fire protection. In addition to an explosion protection seminar, live fire tests will also be carried out. A total of more than 500 participants from German-speaking countries are expected on both days. We look forward to seeing familiar faces again and making new contacts!
